Racing

One day my friend and I decided to go to a rally. We took our M3 rally car so we could race. This race was going to take over a week to finish. There are no rules so we can modify our cars however we want. Only thing is, there are no guns.
The first thing we did was make our car as light as we could. All we had left on it was a roll cage. We didn’t do much after that because we still wanted a rally car. The last thing we did though, was put a better engine in it and tuned it perfectly. The car ran like it could fly.
When the race started we were on the edge of the Sahara Desert. In all there were ten of us who dared to race, eight men and two women from around the world.  This race went from the desert to the Amazon. The first checkpoint is half way through the desert in Africa. We started at noon.
Three, two, one, the gun fires and we take off. Someone stalled at the line, but I didn’t know who it was. We started in sixth place. We kept jumping the sand dunes and landing hard every time. When we finally got it so it was not riding rough and landing hard, we saw someone in front of us land on the nose of their car and flip.  This ended the race for the fifth ranked team of racers.
When they stopped, they were on their top. It was level with the hood of the car, but the passengers were safe. There was not much else that happened in the rest of the first leg. Our car stayed together and the car that was stalled got to the checkpoint. We passed two people and are starting in fourth place on the next leg.
That night we tried to sleep, but every time we were about to fall asleep we heard a person yelling at someone else or people fighting. One time we heard a car running, as another team was working on their car, and then there was a big boom. So we got up, and when we saw the car, it was in pieces. The engine blew up and they had to get a new one by morning.  This is the beauty of this race, teamwork.  We all want to win based on if we earned it, not because someone else couldn’t finish.  So all the teams got together and brought the pieces they could to fix team five’s car.  It was near dawn by the time we got it put back together, but it was raceable at that point.  We didn’t want to win just because a competitor couldn’t get their car to the finish line.  We wanted to win based on that we were better in the race.  After that we went back to bed and finally fell asleep for a couple of hours.
The second leg of the race started in the middle of the Sahara and ended at the Eastern edge of the Amazon rainforest.  As dawn broke, we took off headed west.  When we got to Guinea, we had to take a ferry to get to Brazil in South America.  It was a nice boat, but our team was seasick the entire time.  It felt like it would never end.  It took three days, but somehow we all survived it.  When we landed in Brazil, we were about half of the way through.  There was a village that made the perfect rest stop.  There were places to get a bite to eat and something to drink for the road ahead of us.  My team grabbed some bottles of water and tacos to get to the next leg of the race.  We got enough to last us the rest of the trip, but in the meantime we lost two positions.  We were now in sixth place, with a lot of room to gain positions back.
The final leg of the race began at the eastern edge of the Amazon rainforest and ended where the Amazon River began.  It started off as a normal day, and we were all speeding through the forest when all of a sudden the rain started.  Rain season began right at that point in the race.  It was raining so fast and so hard that the road washed out and became a complete mud pit.  Luckily, we were ready for this and had stashed some super swamper boggers with us.  It was a mess, but we got all the tires changed and the boggers on, and we were on our way again.  The other five teams were stuck up to their elbows in mud trying to figure out a way to get out of the mud as we easily passed all of them.  Since we were getting through the mud and everything easy, we found a dry place to stop and eat the rest of our food because we were hungry.  So, now we are in first place, no longer hungry, and we were almost to the finish line.  That is when we got sick on the tacos we got from the village earlier.  We were just close enough that we finished the race, but we were so sick we could not enjoy the win.
We spent a week in the hospital due to the poisoned tacos.  It has to be another team that set it up.  But who would try to take us out.  Come to find out it was the team that wrecked in the first leg.  They set it all up from Guinea to try and slow us down.  They called some friends in Brazil, and they had spoiled meat in the tacos.  We fell right into their trap.  We were just lucky enough that we did not eat the tacos until the end of the race and were able to finish.  After we survived this, we went to go talk to them about it because we thought everyone had the same agreement on winning due to skill and not trying to take each other out.  Their response was that of anger that we were accusing them of this.  When it was proven to them that we knew they were behind it, they apologized to the entire field of racers.  At this point we just let it go, and a race like this was to only happen once and will never happen again.  This was proof that all races have to have some rules that they made up to prevent bad things from happening.

A Wild Dream

A Wild Dream

Last night I had a dream that felt like a lifetime. I was only asleep for three hours, but it felt like 100. It was one of those dreams where you just don’t want to wake up and if you do, you start to daydream about it. The ones that last forever and that you just want to be real. I didn’t sleep very long, but the dream lasted all day.
It started out with me going to bed at like two in the morning. I feel asleep thinking of my dad. He had just passed away the week before. We were sitting under a lot of oak trees that were on the edge of a lake. We were on my private island that I had bought for a million dollars. I had so much stuff and much money in this dream that I don’t know how I would get the money.
While we were sitting there, we were fishing. My dad and I went fishing a lot together. We went ice fishing a couple times too. It was a lot of fun because we would mess around and tell jokes to each other. Sometimes he would tell me stories of when he was a kid and went fishing.
One of the stories was that his dad took him fishing in a blizzard and the ice was fresh, so it wasn’t thick. He ended up falling through the ice into the water. My dad and I would do a lot together. We went hunting, fishing and everything else outdoors. In the dream he was young and ready to have fun.
We went to the middle of the island after fishing. We agreed that we should climb trees and see if we could get back down safely. Instead of just climbing down, we both jumped and we landed in a pool. Remember this is a dream, so anything can happen. By now it was four in the morning.
After we hit the pool more people arrived. My two kids came to swim and so did my three brothers. My oldest son jumped in and splashed me, and that was when I woke up from the dream. I started to get ready for my day at work. I am a veterinarian and thank god I didn’t have many things planned for today.
It usually takes me five minutes to get ready, but when I was going to walk outside I didn’t have my keys, shoes, or my schedule. My head was going crazy because I wasn’t prepared and didn’t have everything I needed. When my first animal came in, I started dreaming that my dad and me were on a farm.
We owned our own farm in this and had millions of cattle. We had a huge place for all of them to eat and everything else. We had our own pet cow, who was named Rammer. I think we named him that because he always ran into the fence. I’m surprised he never broke it because of how big and strong he was.
He kept running into it harder and faster each time. Finally one time he hit it and just fell over. It was kind of funny until he started shaking. It was just like the dog in front of me. It started shaking and then I gave it a shot to make it stop. I have never had something like this happen to me and never thought it would.
I saw it in a movie once that everything the kids say comes real but right now its like everything I dream in some way is real or was real. I wish I could understand this. After that it started to get better with me dreaming about living in a mention. I would have parties all night every night and have fun. I would have a lot of fun with my friends.
The first party I had was with all of my high school buddies. We stayed up all night and trashed the house like we used to. We were playing video games and acted like we were teenagers again. We had a blast and didn’t want to stop.
The next party was with my brother that was really just my really close friend in school. We went out to eat at the pizza hut and then went to the park where we used to hang out all the time. We finally went home around four in the morning. The next day we went out mudding and took my rock crawler out to have fun. The bad thing is that we don’t talk anymore so I just have memories of it.
Back in real life, it is like five at night now, so I have to do all the chores. I have never messed up on these. I always feed the animals and then go do paper work. I didn’t feed the animals the right amount and didn’t clean the cages. Then I never did my paper work.
I went home and went back to bed. The dream kept going and seemed to never stop. When I feel asleep again I was skydiving. I was by myself and when I looked up there was nothing I fell from.  I was picking up a lot of speed.

I went to pull the cord for my parachute and there was nothing on my back. I started to panic. I couldn’t stop and didn’t know what to do. I was falling and was starting to see the ground. It was getting closer and closer.
Then all of a sudden, I stopped right before I hit the ground and I woke up from a dead sleep.

Green

Green

Ever since I was born, all I could see was blue. If it wasn’t blue, then it either was a shade of blue or was black. No one else was like me. They all could explore and see so much more then me. I always got confused. I never figured out why I was this way till today.
My name is, Barry. Some how I got to have friends who understood or tried to understand me. I also made it through school at the top of my class. My life has never been easy though. I don’t see like everyone else.
I just had turned twenty. I was thinking about when I turned ten because I could see a different shade. It was a mix of blue and green. Now that I have had my twentieth birthday, I can see blue, black, and now green. This has always fascinated me.
I celebrated my birthday and was happy, but I was also confused. I didn’t understand the color changes. So when I woke up the next morning, I went to a scientist. This did nothing and didn’t help. They just ask questions and then proceeded to tell me to leave.
I have never like scientists anyway. The ones I have been around are rude and snotty. It’s just annoying to look at them. I then went to my eye doctor and my doctor.
None of them knew anything and didn’t know what to do. I got really curious, so I went to my mom. This was a bad choice because she is a drug user and love to drink way too much. I found her outside her house, looking for her keys that were in her hand. Did I mention she loves to drink?
It has been about a week since my birthday. I have been driving a lot and I still I have nothing to show for my color problem. I surprise everyone when I tell people I can drive, but really it’s not that hard. The shapes tell what the sign is and the position of the light tells you what you should do. I can see the green so that all that really matters too. Never have had a crash while driving a car.
I have amazed people ever since I was talking. The first word I ever said was green. Everyone says a different word so that didn’t mean anything to them at the time, but now I think that was because it was the only color I could see at the time. I went to me family again and asked about it. All they said was that they didn’t know and asked why I wanted to know.
I have been looking for answers for about two months and finally found a scientist that would talk and listen to me. I told him everything. I told him about how I have been seeing new colors but it’s only because of me getting older. He told me he wanted to run some tests and also examine my eyes. I let him do what he wanted.
He first had a nurse or doctor come in. I’m not sure who they really were. She ran some really weird tests on me. Nothing that would hurt or anything, but they were strange. She put only my head in this machine. It looked at my eye color and then looked at everything else inside my eye. Then they asked some questions.
The questions were like do you know if you had a birth defect or something wrong with you when you were born. I said I didn’t know to most of them. There was one where I told him I did know the answer to. That question was how my childhood was.
I told him “It was like any other child’s young life. I did get made fun of because I was different in physical appearance but nothing bad really happened to me and no one else knew about my color thing.”
He ended up telling me I had something wrong at birth and that my eyes didn’t form right. The part the shows you color only formed one part and is slowly forming the others. He also told me there is no one else in the world like this. This has amazed him. He never thought something like this could happen.
It was like I became famous over night because he put this in the paper. When I woke up I had reporters and journalists at my front door. They all wanted to know about my birth problem. I didn’t talk to any of them. To me they are a annoying.
I was getting asked to be on television and get paid for it. I had so much going on that I didn’t know what to do with it. I ended up getting so much money that I bought an island and moved my family and I down there so we could all get away from it. By the end of the week every man, woman, and child in the world knew about me.

I didn’t like all of this publicity because of all the pressure. I stayed away from drugs and all of the other bad things, but everyone annoyed me. The only people I could be around are my family. I never thought anything like this would every happen to me. I was an over night sensation. This is all new and everything is so different now. Some things I wish would go away and others I want to keep. I think my family would agree with me also.

Athletes

Athletes

Athletes run, jump, and climb.
They practice on and off the field,
In and out of the season,
Every chance they get they are practicing.
They push themselves and each other to the limit.
They never give up.
They have a dream and go for it.
They have a goal and always think of getting it.
They go for it all.
They leave it all on the line.
They have the mentality to win.
They never give up,
They have a diamond hard head,
Nothing can stop them,
You can’t do anything to get them to stop trying.
They are mentally unstoppable.
He threw till his arms are limp and don’t want to move,
She jumps till she beat her top height and still kept going.
Together they are headstrong.
Separate the never give up.
They make a team and that team is unstoppable.
He drives to the max,
She looks for anything that might happen,
They charge forward and go farther.
She can be independent,
He can be independent,
They are both individuals, but are also a team.
They work together to take it all.
He has strength, but so does she,
They are both equally matched.
They are head to head and face to face,
They go for it all and never give up.

Family

Family is important.
Even if you don’t like the person in your family,
Love is what keeps you together and helps you bond.
Your family helps you through your childhood.
They help you through the hard times.
They are there in the good times.
They make memories with you;
They will always be there with you,
Even after they pass on.
They will always be in your heart and your head,
They watch over you and help you in their own silent ways,
They care about you and can comfort you.
They try their best to help you,
They make rules so you are safe,
They protect you the best they can,
They do everything in your benefit,
Not theirs.
Your mom scowls at you,
Your dad looks at you and you both end up laughing.
Your dad takes you out doing things and so does your mom,
But your mom does the shopping.
They get after you so you will learn
And so you will not do it again.
From your youngest years,
Till you turn an adult,
They teach you
And after that they care for you
And they never let go.
You show your parents how good you act
And they give you appreciation and more responsibility.
The better you act the more you can get in return.
Family is the most important thing in your whole life.
You cannot live without them,

They help you in every way.

Freak Incident

Freak Incident

As the 3:30 bell rang, Billy dropped everything, but his coat, off at his locker. Billy was a good student in school and had good grades. He was not the most popular but he was ok with it. He lived near Lake Michigan. He was happy about it because he could go fishing whenever and he loves fishing. He is a kid that would die to be out doors everyday of his life.
On the bus he had to wait an hour till he got home, so everyday he took a nap on the bus to pass the time. This day was different though because when he woke up he was not at home. He woke up because of a bird that was chattering at him and pecking at him as he laid on the edge of a lake.
“Where am I and why am I not wet from the water?” he said out loud.
For some reason, he was dizzy and everything was blurry. Once that had passed, he looked around. He was trying to figure out how he got there. He first started just by looking for anything that was a sign of how he got to where he is. Then he saw a bridge with a hole in it and some cars that where crashed. He thought of all his friends on the bus and was hopping they were ok, but then he realized that the bus was not on the bridge.
It was in the lake. When he realized that, his mind was going everywhere and he could not think. He tried to stand up, but couldn’t. His leg was broken so he made a splint and it was working, but he had to hobble. He was not sure of where he was at and there was nothing around him to tell him where he was. All he knew was that his bus had crashed into the lake and he needed to find help as fast as he could.
Since there was nothing that he could use to get anywhere fast with. He just started to walk along the lake. On his walk, he saw dead fish and other animals drinking from the water. He was still looking around when he saw a road it was not busy. In fact, it had no cars on it at all.
He walked over to the shoulder and started walking in what he thought the highway was. All this while all he could think about was what happened to make the bus fall into the lake and if anyone survived. He did not think he was far from the highway, but he hobbled about 2 miles and the road he was on was disappearing. When it started to disappear, he turned around and had to walk twice as far as what he would have had to. At least he was in shape and this walking did not bother him.
When he got to the highway he was trying to get a ride but no one would stop. He gave up on that and started to try and find a way to the town and find out where he is. Off to right there was a sign with Lake Michigan on it and also had all the history and events that happened there. He really wanted to cross the bridge, but with all the cars he did not want to get hit. The other thing stopping him was he was afraid of heights.
He decided to stand and get a ride to town. Finally, a local stopped because they knew him, but everyone in his town knew him and his family. When they stopped they asked “ Why are you out this far from home alone?”
He answered with “ My school bus somehow crashed and ended up in the lake. I am the only survivor that I know of and I need a ride into town.”
“ I know right where u need to go, Billy.”
They drove into town, and they took him to the police station. For almost 2 hours he had to argue and convince the police to send out a rescue team to look for the others on the bus. When he was done talking to the cops, they called his parents and dropped him off at home. He thought it was really cool to ride in a police car and see and the gadgets and things that they use. On their way to his house, he asked the officer questions about the equipment he uses and how it works.
When they got to his house he said thanks and went inside. When he was inside of his house, his mom and dad started with the questions. It was 9 by the time he got home, so the questions were expected to be asked. He told them about the crash and asked them if they would take him to the bridge. Amazingly they listened and took him to it because they rarely do what he asks.
It was quiet on the ride there, but it wasn’t quiet in Billy’s head. He kept thinking of all the possibilities of what could have happened. It was too soon for ice and snow, so they couldn’t have hit ice and crashed. It was a small town, with no burglars or people who would do anything bad. It is a town where everyone knew everyone and they helped someone if needed.
When the got to the bridge he got out and looked at the hole. It looked like the bus just slid with the side going through the wall, but when he looked over the side he saw wires. He fallowed the wires up over the wall and then it broke. The bus must have hit the wire and something happened, but what because all that was gone was part of the wall. The next day he went back there right after he woke up and got on a boat.

He wanted to look at the bottom of the bridge and when he did he saw that the wall wasn’t gone either. Somehow someone got it so it pulled the bus off the side and moved the wall so it looked as if it was gone, but really it was just under the bridge. This was weird to him because nothing like this has happened before in his town. So he went back to the police and told them. They started yell at him that they sad they could handle it, but he said “My friends where on that bus and I wanted to help save them, so I went early so I could look at the bridge.” They ended up letting him help and let him explain his theory of what happened.
