PPOW

Winter

The days are short,

there's no plants around.

The white puffy snow,

is filling the ground.

The snow blowers have a wicked sound,

you can hear it all over the town.

Men with shovels are shoveling,

down the street.

Snowmans stand around,

little kids jumping up and down.

The Christmas lights are being hung,

Trees are being sold.

Presents under the tree.

Christmas morning comes,

kids wait for their parents to wake.

Shaking the presents,

to see if they can guess what it is.

Christmas is over,

got all the presents you want.

Time for the flowers to bloom.

Spring

The flowers are blooming,

sprouting from the ground.

The deer are roaming all around.

The grass is short,

filled with the color green.

The birds are chirping,

hanging in the trees.

The worms are out.

The kids around are picking flower,

going to give them to their mothers.

Mothers have a special day,

it’s hard to find a present for them.

The temperature will get hotter.

The pool will open.

Summer

The days are getting longer,

The ground is getting warmer,

kids are all around,

at the park and pool.

Spending time under the sun.

Happy that school is over,

no homework to work on.

Going to the pool.

Swimming under water,

Canoeing down the river.

Your friends spend all day with you,

hanging out.

The movies are open,

you can go any day because there is no school

Families come together,

BBQ’s with people all around the block.

waiting for school to come.

School supplies is on sale.

Fall

School is here,

kids all around with backpacks.

The bus is full,

the scary holiday is coming.

Costumes are being made,

the candy is on sale.

Skeletons are hanging on porches.

Kids with masks, walking around all night.

Pillowcases full of candy.

Kids are scared,

running the opposite way of danger.

Turkey day is here,

eat all you want.

Christmas is on its way,

presents time will come again.

Time for the snow to fall

winter will start again.

Trouble

“Ceara Forening, Please come to the office.”

A deep voice said over the intercom, with no idea why I quickly shoved my things into my backpack and jumped up out of my seat. As I walk through the aisle of high schoolers I can feel the tired eyes watching as I make my way toward the door. I reach the door I turned the knob and opened the door there was a young man leaning against the far wall of the hallway.

He had brown hair that flowed to the left of his face and big blue eyes the color of the sea. He was wearing a navy blue short sleeve T-shirt that made his eyes pop. He had some light washed blue jeans on with holes in the knees and lower thighs. He had red sneakers with some black stripes going across them. He had a tattoo on his arm that said SEEKER in black ink. After he caught my eyes staring at his tattoo, he readjusted and the tattoo was buried in his shirt sleeve. In a quick motion I turned my head to the left and started walking. I knew he would be looking at me so I walked as fast as I could. I was almost to the door to the office and it swung open hard and out came my Psychology teacher.

“ Oh I am sorry didn’t mean to-”

I interrupted her, “ Its ok I was just going into the office.”  

Before I could finish the sentence she walked away fast with her head looking down to the ground. As she walked away I wonder why she swung the door open so hard. I walked through the door and there sitting at the desk to greet me was the secretary, Mrs. Hamilton. On the right in the waiting chairs was my mom.

“ Hey Mom what you doing here?” I asked

“ She is here to take you home.” Mrs. Hamilton said.

“ I am going to take you to Anna’s while me and your father go on a little vacation.” She explained to me as she stood up out of her chair.

“ Why?” I asked.

“ Me and your dad have some business to take care of.” she said.

It reminds me of the time when I was seven and I was left at my Gammy’s House for 11 months and 26 days. I remember that exactly because before they left the got my favorite meal at my favorite chinese place and when they got back I went there and ate.

Mrs. Hamilton said, “ You will have to sign her out.”

My mother grabbed a pin out of her purse and signed me out then we walked out. As we were walking through the hall I was nervous, the last time I went to Anna’s was when I was 13 and what if she doesn’t remember me or doesn’t want to take care of me.

“ So whats going on?” I asked.

“ I just think it would be good for you to spend some time with you big sister.” She explained.

“ What if I don’t want to see her,” I said

“ You don’t have a choice me and your father have something to take care of and we need you to be good and go to school, it will be like a regular month.”

“ A month!” I shouted. “ You're leaving for a month why do you guys do this I am your daughter I should spend time with you. I am almost 17 I am going to be going to college soon are you ever going to spend time with me!” I screamed.

“ Yes it is just-”

“ Just what you have some business I get that, but I think I am more important than business.” I screamed at her.

“ Honey you are very important to me and your father but I think it would be good if you just go to Anna’s and me and your father get this thing sorted out and then we can go back to the way it normally was.”

“ But my can’t I come with you.” I asked.

“ I wish you could but it won’t be very long and you have to go to school.” She explained.

On they way home I did not say a word. We got home and I went straight to my room and  then I packed all of my stuff into a bag. I walked up to my window and unlocked it. I looked out the window and there was man standing against the tree line behind my house. It looked like her was screaming into a phone. I opened the window to see what he was talking about. I heard a knock on my door and shut the window and walked away from it.

“ Hey you ready you go?” She questioned.

“ I guess” I said with a mad face.

“ Ok I will be in the car,” She said.

As she walked out of the room I ran over to the window and the man had vanished from the tree line 
and now almost right under my window. I looked at the door and the back at the window and he was gone.

Close Your Eyes  

I got up off the ground, I had leaves hanging on my cloths and in my hair. I looked around and then started running. I bursted through the trees, with the willow branches falling on me. Then I heard something. I stopped; there was a loud noise. The echo scratched my ears, I grabbed my ears and turned around. I waited a second before I moved; it all went black.

I opened my eyes I could see black; there was a bag over my head. My hands and feet were tied. There were bumps in the road that we were on. I could hear two guys talking,

“Where are you going to take her?”

“To the abandoned house, just as we planed, then I’ll get paid?”

“We’ll get payed?”

“Whatever.”

The car stopped, and I was dragged out onto the ground. They propped me up, and then we walked into the house. After a lot of walking they pushed me on the ground, and then the door slammed behind me. I’m in a dark room, it was cold, and I could feel mist settling itself on my body. The wind was blowing up my back, goose bumps start to show. I heard someone talking in the distance. I looked around and could see nothing. I could feel someone else was in here with me, the person moved a lot.

I could hear them coming up the steps; I panicked. They started to grab me I was lifted up, and put onto a chair. Then they strapped my hands behind my back. They lifted the bag up. When I saw where I was tears flooded my eyes.

“Why, why would you bring me here?” I screamed with fear.

One of them replied in a sick evil voice, “You know why.”

I screamed back, “Just let me go”

He stood there with a smirk on his face,

“You are going to relive what happened here, what you did,” He said.

I yelled back, “I didn't do anything, she did it to herself! I tried to stop her, but she wouldn’t, when that chair fell out from under her, I tried, I crawled I was tied up, it wasn’t my fault.”

“I don’t believe you, she would never do that,” He yelled and picked up a chair and threw it across the room. “ You!” he locked his eye on me, “You did it, you killed her, face it no one believes your story about her hanging herself, for being a young teenager you're good at covering up crimes, how did you do it? Did you have help.”

In a softly quiet voice I exclaimed, “I didn’t kill her.”

I tilted my head down, I could feel a tear drop run down the side of my right cheek. He left the room and slammed the door behind him. I was crying harder now, so many times after she died I was blamed for her death. No one believed me, they all thought I killed her. Foot steps roamed the bottom floor of the house. Then they were coming up stairs, the door swung open.

“Get up its time for you to save the rest of your family.” He grabbed my arm and untied the ropes he yanked me up.

“What are you talking about?” I questioned.

We walked out the bedroom door and went down stairs into the living room he through me on the ground then tied me up. He put a blindfold over my eyes. I could hear a lot of noise going on around me. He took the blindfold off. I gasped!

“Now you get the chance to save them.” He said.

“No please I can’t save them all.” I pleaded

He kicked the chair under my brother around trying to get a reaction. I just screamed and yelled and hoped he didn’t kill the rest of my family, the only thing I have.

“Please I do anything, just please don’t kill them.”

He walked toward me and whispered in my ear,

“You don’t have to watch, just close your eyes.”

I could feel the tears rushing out of my eyes. I panicked so I shut my eyes. I heard ropes tighten three times. I balded as I sat there and thought about what I did. After about an hour or what I thought was an hour I heard a door open someone was screaming my name the noise got closer. Then I realized it was my dad he was calling for me. I was very confused because I thought he was dead. Someone ran up to me and was untying my hands and taking my blindfold off. I opened my eyes I could hardly see I was crying to much.

“Honey oh my goodness thank gosh you're ok.” He said with tear in his eyes but a smile on his face.

“Dad but I thought you were dead,” I said as a tear went down my face.

“Its ok you're safe now.” He said.

Jim Carrey

James Eugene Carrey, also know as Jim, was born on January 17, 1962.  He was raised in Ontario, Canada.  Percy and Kathleen Carrey were his parents.  Jim had four siblings and was the youngest.  His mother was a housewife, and his father was an accountant.  He worked hard at his job to keep their family together.  He has been in the United States since 2004.  When he was in junior high he would perform little funny shows for his classmates, the teacher set aside a couple minutes after class so he could preform.  At the age of ten he had already knew he wanted to be an actor so he emailed his resume to the Carol Burnett Show.  When Carrey was 14 his father lost a lot of money and the family had a hard time.  When Carrey got into high school he dropped out to focus more on his career.  

In 1979 he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams.  Carrey met and married Melissa Womer and they had a daughter named Jane.  After Melissa and Jim got divorced he found a new love her name was Lauren Holly.  They were married, and a short year after were divorced.  Carrey knew at a young age he wanted to make people laugh, he wanted to fill them with joy.  When Carrey was little his family did not have much money, but they managed to get him into the acting career. Until right before Ace Ventura: Pet Detective no one was interested in making Carrey a star.  After he was in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective he was a huge hit and

He is an actor and a comedian.  In 1984 he finally landed his first acting job as a cartoonist in the show The Duck Factory.  Next, he starred in Once Bitten in 1985.  In 1986 he was in the movie Peggy Sue Got Married. After, the comedy show In Living Color in the year of 1990.  His career started to pick up in the 1990s. Reviews show that his best movie Jim Carrey was in was the role he played in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective 1994.  Carrey really found success after he played in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.  Carrey showed a new side of acting after the movie Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.  After Ace Ventura: Pet Detective his salary yearly was seven million dollars.  In 1994 his next movie, The Mask he played a superhero.  In December of 1994 he started to film the movie Dumb & Dumber.  In the movie Dumb & Dumber he played Loyd who was a dumb man who had a friend named Harry.  His next movie did not give him any advantages on his career.

Replacing Chris Farley in 1996 in the movie The Cable Guy but the movie turned out to be a big disappointment, it also had a low budget.  He bounced back with his next movie which is my favorite movie that he has starred in it was called Liar Liar, it was also a big hit.  Liar Liar was a movie about a dad who always lies to people and he missed his son’s birthday, so his son’s birthday wish was that his dad would not lie for a whole day.  The son got what he wish for.  In 1998 he won a golden globe award for best actor of the year.  After this movie Carrey decided to just focus on movies.  In 1999 he played the role of a funny man in the movie Man on the Moon.

In 2000 Carrey played a role of a state trooper in the movie Me Myself & Irene.  This movie was about two different men falling in love with the same movie.  After this movie was over they announced their relationship to the public.  His next movie was a great Christmas movie.  In 2000 Carrey played the role of the Grinch in the movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas.  This movie was about Grinch (Jim Carrey) who was trying to take Christmas from the town.  Similar to the cartoon How The Grinch Stole Christmas but this is not animated movie had more reviews. Lots of people liked this one better because it was more realistic.

Carrey was in a lot of comedy movies.  The next movie he starred in was Bruce Almighty, in the year of 2003.  This movie was about Bruce having powers because he thinks he is god, he played with Jennifer Aniston .  In 2011 he played in the movie Poppers Penguins which was a family movie, but still comedy.  In this movie his dad died and sent his a penguins.  He got the penguins and his kids liked them so he kept them, he ended up with eleven penguins.  At the end of the movie he kept the penguins and took care of them. In 2008 he played in the movie Yes Man.   In 2014 he played in the second movie of Dumb & Dumber To with the same actors.  It was also a movie about Lloyd and Harry’s adventures.

Jim Carrey has not made any other movies.  Jim Carrey is one of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood.  In Jim Carrey’s earlier career he was just on shows and short films now he has made over a dozen movies.  Carrey has become one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood.  He has been a great actor and he did pursue his dream.  Jim Carrey has been a big hit in his career.  Jim Carrey is famous for his acting and comedian career but mostly his acting career.  Jim Carrey has been in over a dozen movies and over five talk shows.

Even with children Jim Carrey has been an amazing actor that a lot of producers and directors have come to love and want him to been in there movies.  He has a lot of potential. When he is off camera’s and away from the critics and paparazzi he always finds away to get noticed.  And that in why Jim Carrey is such a great actor.

Stalker 2

I woke up, my head was pounding, throbbing it felt like someone had split my head like a log. I looked around and I could see a glimpse of light.  My vision was blurry, I could only make out shapes there were about six people in the room with me. Then something went over my mouth and nose.  I heard a light, soft, comforting voice, like a woman, I couldn’t understand what she said but I heard,

“It’s almost over sweetheart, be strong.”

I awoke to a bouquet of flowers on the left side of me sitting on a night stand.  I turned to the right and saw a door open someone walked in, but I didn’t know who it was.  That same light, soft, comforting voice said,

“Hey honey how you feeling?”  I tried to make my mouth say “fine, where is my mom?”  I couldn’t my mouth hurt it felt like my jaw was glued together. She said,

“Sorry, I forgot, you can’t talk.” I was confused.

The door opened again and I forgot all about my mouth,  I was so happy to see my mother walk in! She ran over to the bed, grabbed my hand and said,

“Honey, are you okay?”

I couldn’t say yes so, I nodded, my head.  She turned to the nurse and asked,

“What are her conditions?”

The nurse said,

“Well, for starters she has a concussion we will have to watch it, her jaw is broken so we put the broken pieces back together and wired them to the top of her mouth until it heals. She can not talk or chew, she has to drink and eat everything through a straw. She also has multiple scratches and bruises and has a broken leg.  We will be able to send her home in one to two weeks.”

“How is she supposed to talk?” My mom said.

“She can take a mini dry erase board and a marker to communicate to others until it is healed.” said the nurse.

I think, my mom, was more scared then I was!  The nurse left and my mom turned to me and said,

“Honey it will be okay.”

I was motioning for her to get me something to write with.  She got up and walked out. While she was gone I closed my eyes. I was exhausted just from talking to the nurse. Colliding into a car really takes the energy out of you. My mom walked in, this time with her little side kick, Henry, my little brother! She handed my the board and the maker and I wrote,

“Henry, I have missed you, buddy, glad your safe, never do that to me again!”

He read it and put his head down. I could tell my mom tried to make all the question she asked me yes and no question because it was easier for me.

I closed my eyes and fell asleep. I had a dream about the man in our house, then I thought I saw the man's face, It was my dad! I woke up trying to scream, make a noise, move, get out of the dream! My nurse ran in followed by my mom, my brother and another person, a man; my dad! My nurse asked me what was wrong, but I couldn’t say anything. My board fell off my lap, I tried to pick it up, but could not get it. I pointed at him. The man who left my mom, I dont even call him my father. My mom grabbed the board off the ground and I wrote

“Get that man away from me.

” My mom read it and said,

“Honey, your father wants to talk to you, we will be right outside.”

I just kept shaking my head. She leaned in and kiss my forehead the whispered in my ear “Be nice.”

I shook my head as one by one they left me in the room with this man who so calls me his daughter. The nurse shut the door and just like that, I was not talking to him or in my case writing to him.

“Hi , Lacey, are you okay? I was worried.” he said.

I turned my head the other direction and didn't respond.

“I know I am not the greatest dad, but I am trying, I mean, I am here aren't I.”              

His face lit up when I took the cap of the marker, I wrote down,

“I don’t want you here, don’t you get that?”

He grabbed my arm and leaned in close, I tried to get loose, but he was just holding on tighter. I hesitated, then proceed to asked

“What are you doing, let go?”

He struck me in the upper jaw, I think he rebroke my jaw. It hurt, like I got hit by the car all over again. He grabbed me and pulled me up off the bed I was in pain lots of pain. He shoved me in my wheelchair and told me to shut my mouth. He rolled the wheelchair out of the room.

My mom got up off the bench and said

“Honey are you okay?”

“She is fine, she wants to go to the cafeteria and talk,” he told my mom.

“Okay have fun,”

she kiss my forehead, I grabbed her hand and said with them most strength I had. “Help”. She look at him and gave a faint grin.

“Talk to you later” he said.”

As I rolled away down the hall seeing all the people crying, while I am being wheeled away to my death, by my own father. I stopped and thought my mom heard me, so maybe, maybe I will be safe, I won’t have to leave, I can stay with my mom and heal and go back to my regular routine. I can see Sayde again! I look back and my mom was running down the hallway as fast as she could. She grabbed the nurse clipboard and hit my dad with it in the head, he turned around and grabbed her arms and pushed her to the ground. My mom got up and hit him with her fist in the back of his head. I grabbed my wheels and rolled down the hallway. He pushed her down and ran after me screaming

“Get back here Lacey!”

I rolled with all my might until I reached the front desk. Then I got pulled away, no one noticed me, I 

vanished. The elevator door, opened and he pushed my in. When got to the main floor there was an 

officier at the door he nodded at my dad, I was rolled out the door, no one noticed that I was being 

kidnapped.
