The Case in Bailey, Texas

The Case in Bailey, Texas
My name is Jackie Jones and I work for the FBI. Today, we got a call about an urgent case in Bailey, Texas. There has been serial killer taking all kinds of people and killing them, and after that he chop off the head and sticks it on a post or anything he can put it on. We haven’t had anything like this in a while. We are heading to our private jet now.
At the Bailey Police Station.
We walked into the Bailey Police Station and a guy greeted us in a serious tone,
“Thank you so much for coming. We haven’t had something like this before.” James replied,
“This is what we do. Now let me introduce the team, this is Agent Hunter, Agent Smith, Agent Harper, and Agent Jones.” Let me tell you a little about my team. Agent Hunter or Mason is the muscle and Agent Smith or Jamie is the person that gets information, books the plane, and tells us when we have a case. Agent Harper or John is the brain and could tell you how many people live in the smallest town in North America off of the top of his head. There is also James, who is leader of our team and Grace, who is our tech person and can find anything.
Back to what happen at the police station. We were put in a conference room and given the files from the crime scene. As we were looking at them Jason asked,
“How did he get from one side of the town to the other in ten minutes?” John replied,
“There is no way he could have gotten from one side to the other, it would take at least twenty minutes when you were going 80 through town.” Jamie said,
“What if he had a partner or forced somebody to do it. Maybe had some leverage over someone.” James then said,
“That’s a good start. Lets go to the crime scene and see what we can find.” Everybody headed out of the room and made their way to our car.
Crime Scene
When we got to the crime scene, it was clean. There were hardly any tracks or evidence. Mason asked,
“How did he get out of here without any tracks? It rained yesterday morning. It was still wet when he brought it.” John then said,
“What if he is a local and knows every road in this town and knew where he could park and nobody would know?” James answered,
“That’s all good information. Let’s head back to the station and talk to the Deloris, the medical examiner” Everybody packed into the car and we drove off to the station. When they got back to the station, the atmosphere was weird. It was like they wanted to tell us something, but if they did they would get in trouble. I said,
“Does anyone notice that it looks like they want to tell us something, but they can’t?” John answered,
“I was thinking the same thing. They seem very timid around us. Maybe they know who killed the people, but it is someone dear to them and they threatened the who force?” Mason said,
“It was have to be someone very high up to be able to threaten the whole force.”
Two Days Later…
We have investigated many people since then, but they haven’t been the killer. We still have the weird atmosphere here in the station. I have suspicions that it might be the chief, Hunter Daniels. He has been fine, but when the cops are around them, they seem to watch what they say. We talked about investigating all the cops alone to see if we can get anything out of them. We are in the conference room with Sandy Johnson. Mason said to Sandy,
“Have you been noticing the weird atmosphere around here?” Sandy replied,
“I don’t think anything is weird.” I replied,
“I can tell you’re keeping something and you want to tell us. What is it? Why can’t you tell us? Does it have to do with your Chief, Daniels?” We kept asking her for forty-five minutes before she finally said,
“It was Daniels, that has been killing the people. One of the deputies found out and tried to confront him, but he said if he told anyone that he would be killed. He told us all that’s why his head was on the post because he told us the information. He didn’t want you guys to come. The city mayor, Jason Jensen, made him call you guys.”
Hunter Daniels was arrested after Sandy told us about him. We also found people he was holding captive in his back shed. Sandy was later promoted to Chief. They reason Daniels was killing them was he has killed his wife, Janet Daniels, and the people he killed knew he was the one who killed his wife. He killed his wife because she was cheating on him with his first victim, Hayden Nelsen.
We headed home after we had put Daniels away and thanked Sandy for telling us because we probably would have never gotten him without her help. Now all we do is wait for the next case.

The Lindbergh Case

          The Lindbergh Case

On March 1, 1932, Charles Lindbergh Jr. went missing from his room on the second floor. He was the son of famous aviator Charles Lindbergh and his wife, Anne Morrow Lindbergh. Charles Jr. was only 20 months at the time. He was taken around 9:00 p.m. and discovered missing at 10:00 p.m. by his nurse, Betty Gow. After Charles and Anne found out they searched the premises, but only found a ransom note demanding 50,000 dollars. The ransom note was placed on Charles Jr.’s window sill.
The police were called after they found the ransom note. While they were searching, they happen to find footprints inside the Charles Jr.’s room. They also found out how the kidnapper got up to the two-story room.  He had used a ladder that broke into two pieces. They also saw that the ladder had broken, when the kidnapper had come down with the baby, but they didn’t find any blood, so they hoped the Charles Jr. was okay. No fingerprints were found in the bedroom or on the ladder.
Everybody that worked for Charles and Anne were questioned and investigated. Charles and Anne asked everybody to look for their son, and if they had any information turn it in. Many previous kidnappers were questioned and investigated. The news of Charles Jr.’s kidnapping was spread around the world. Many people around the United States tried to help find the kidnapper by putting up fliers and telling more people about it. On March 6th another ransom note came. The ransom has increased to 70,000 dollars. The ransom was called from Trenton, New Jersey. Every cop, government official, and prosecuting officer were told to be there. Private investigators were also called at this time.
Two days later, on March 8th, there was another ransom note received by Colonel Lindbergh’s attorney. The same day, Dr. John F. Condon, an old school principal, offered to be a go-between and pay 1,000 dollars of the ransom. The next day, the kidnapper sent another ransom note that said Dr. Condon could be the go-between. On March 10th, Dr. Condon received the 70,000 dollars and started to negotiate with the kidnapper in the newspaper using the name “Jafsie.”
On March 12th, a taxi driver named, Joseph Perrone, found another ransom note. A random stranger gave him the note, he didn’t recognize who he was. The ransom note stated that another note would be found under a stone at a vacant stand. That note said to meet a guy named “John” at Woodlawn Cemetery. They talked about the payment of ransom money. Dr. Condon still commutated with the kidnapper through the newspaper after “John” and Dr. Condon met.
The seventh ransom note was found with a baby’s sleeping suit. On March 29th, the nurse, Betty Gow, found Charles Jr.’s thumb guard. Many ransom notes came after that demanding higher ransom. Dr. Condon met with “John” and reduced the ransom to 50,000 dollars. The body of Charles Jr. was found, half buried, and decomposed. It was found close to Mount. Rose. Charles Jr. was dead for two months before they found him. They were told he died from a blow to the head.
The FBI was brought in after they found the body of Charles. The President then said that all government investigation agencies were to help with the case. Violet Sharpe committed suicide by poison on June 10th.  She was a waitress at Anne Lindbergh mom’s home and she committed suicide when she was asked for requestioning. On May 2nd, a bank in New York discovered 296 ten-dollar gold certificates and 20-dollar gold certificates, which were discovered to be Lindbergh ransom money.
They found the bank account name and address, which was J.J. Fulkner, 537 West 149th Street, but he was never found. They later found more gold certificates in New York and gave a description of the man. The man was also found at a gas station. The man was later found to be Bruno Richard Hauptmann from Bronx, New York. Bruno was taken into custody on September 19, 1934. Bruno was a German carpenter who was in the country for eleven years.
He was identified by both Dr. Condon and the taxi driver as the person who gave them the ransom notes. He admitted to buying things from the gold certificates. Later his signature was taken from the ransom notes and tested against his know signature and found them very similar. His early life said that he had spent time in prison for robbery. He failed two times at getting into the United States because of his record.
He married his wife, Anna Schoeffler, a waitress and had a kid, Manfried, in 1933.  Bruno was taken to Supreme Court for extortion and murder. The trail lasted for five weeks. The used evidence like tools he used to build the ladder, wood used in the ladder from Bruno’s attic, Dr. Condon’s number and address in the closet, and handwriting on the ransom notes.
February 13, 1935, Bruno was convicted and sentenced to death. The defense appealed, but it was denied and at 8:47 p.m. on April 3, 1936, Bruno was electrocuted.

The Kidnapper

                                               The Kidnapper
All he kept saying, as the agents investigated the crime scene,
“I shouldn’t have left her alone! I knew he was after her with all those notes! How could I not know?”
Marie then tried to console him by saying,
“There is no way that you could have known; he would came and taken her.”
He wouldn’t listen to her and kept repeating the same sentences as before. Marie then walk over to her boss, James and said,
“He won’t listen to me. He just kept repeating about how it is all his fault and how he should have been there.”
            James then replied,
“Get the team together and we need to talk this over in the office.”
            Marie then yelled,
“Team, gather all your stuff and head out!”
The team all listened to her command and started to pack up. While Marie was headed out the door Dan, the husband of the woman kidnapped, came up to her and said,
“Promise me you will find her, please. I can’t lose her; she’s pregnant.”
It didn’t take her long to answer,
“I will do everything in my power to find her, but I can’t promise you anything.”
He didn’t look at her. She just walked out to find her whole team waiting for her. Her team consisted of James, Steve, Liam, Erin, Grace, and her. James was the boss, Steve was the muscle, Liam was the brain, Erin was the enforcer, Grace was the computer genius, and she handles the media problems. Even though she gets annoyed with them, this was her team.
As they went along the road leading back to the office, Steve piped up,
“Why do you think he took her? Old lover that he didn’t get over? Just a stalker that she didn’t even know?”
            Liam added,
“I don’t think that it was an old lover because it showed a force and if she knew the person most likely she would let him…”
            Erin interrupted,
“Maybe he broke her heart and she didn’t want to let him in, but he forced her to open the door with something?”
            James then said,
“We are here. We will continue this talk when we get inside.”
Everybody piled out of the car and walked into to the office only to be bombarded by the local new stations. They were asking questions like,
“Do you know where the kidnapper is holding Claire Johnson? Do you think you will find her before he does something to her?
            Marie then spoke,
“We aren’t allowed to talk about the case until we know for sure who we are looking for.”
As they started to walk away more questions were asked,
“So, you don’t know who has taken her? How long until you find out? Will you find her in time?”
They just continued to walk away and ignore the questions. When they got into the conference room and all sat down; Erin asked,
“Back to our conversation in the car. Why did the kidnapper kidnap her? Was he out for her husband or was he an old lover.”
            Liam then said,
“We need to talk to the husband because we need to know if he had any enemies that would go after his pregnant wife. Also call Grace, and get a list of business partners just incase Don doesn’t remember.”
            James then spoke,
“That will be a great idea. Marie call him now and inform him we want him in here at eight A.M. sharp.
Marie answered with a short nod and walked out of the room to call Don. She started to talk to him and said,
“Hello, Don?”
            He replied back,
“Yes, this is he. Can I ask who is calling?”
“This Marie Jacobsen from the FBI. We would like to have a meeting with you tomorrow at eight A.M. sharp.”
“I think that I would be able to make it just let me make a few calls.”
“Okay, see you tomorrow Don.”
She then hung up and walked back into the conference room finding the team still talking to Grace.
“How many business partners does he have?” asked Liam.
“He has over two thousand, so how can I narrow it down?” Grace replied.
            James answered,
“Is there anyone that is having a hard time keeping their company going?”
            Grace replied,
“There are five in this category any more hints to narrow it down?”
“Find the ones Don is asking or gave them a hard time to get their company.” Erin said.
“It narrowed down to two people; Greg Jensen and Danny Montana,” Grace answered.
James demanded,
“Get us the two addresses and Liam, Erin, I will go to Greg’s house. Steve and Marie go to Danny’s house.
Everybody listened to their commands and went to the houses. They ended up finding her at Greg Jensen’s house. They took him in for questioning and he admitted that he took her because of Don and his business. What they didn’t know was Greg was sending ransom notes, but sent them to the wrong house. They didn’t get the notes because the house was abandoned.

Claire was brought back home and eight months later gave birth to a girl. Don, Claire, and their family were never bothered again. Don never tried to take over another company after that tragic incident thankfully.

Poems

Softball
Softball is my favorite sport,
And it’s a lot of fun.
It gets really hot,
When you play in the sun.

I am a catcher,
And it gets really hot.
My legs get tired,
Because I have to squat.

When I get to bat,
I hit it to the field.
The players start to stumble,
And use their gloves as shields.

When the game is over,
The crowd cheers.
The other team looks away,
And wipes their tears.

Summer
Summer is the best,
When it’s warm.
People go to the pool,
When it’s luke warm.

The pool is fun,
In the sun.
Especially when you have,
A water gun.

Riding bikes,
Through the town.
We go through streets,
And back around.

Summer is great,
But it has to end.
The cold weather comes in,
And starts a new trend.

Family
Family can be great,
When you are down.
They can lift you up,
Like a clown.

They can also be mean,
When you mess up.
But they’re always there,
To pick you up.

They can be stubborn,
When you are right.
Sometimes the arguments,
End in fights.

People may say,
Family is bad.
But my Family,
Is pretty great.

Swimming
Swimming can be hard,
When you compete.
But it is all worth it,
When the swimmers are beat.

Freestyle is my favorite,
When we have a race.
When I get ahead,
It’s like a chase.

Relays are fun,
When we do well.
Everybody gets up,
And yells.

Conference meets are long,
With fifteen different teams.
 Every time we win,
The crowd starts to scream.

School
School is horrible,
When it last eight hours.
People think it’s easy,
Like chocolate and flowers.

It can be hard,
When learning isn’t fun.
All you want to do,
Is get away and run.

Projects are fun,
When you get a group.
It usually gets done,
With a whoop.

Teachers can be okay,
As long as they don’t nag.
When you are in something,
That is a drag.
