You Bury Them When They're Alive

You Bury Them When They’re Alive
The outside world is wild;
Things are very mysterious,
But they are lovely.

Alive, they arrive.
Alive and dead they are.
Dead they will become.

There are lots of them,
But everyone has a place
Inside and outside.

They all are special.
There are many types of them,
And all are needed.

Pretty and ugly,
So many shapes and colors.
Big and small they show.

Green and brown they grow,
But still everybody knows.
We love them dearly.

Dull and blue they rest.
Smooth and spiky they occur.
Bright and red they live.

Unique things build on;
Berries may grow on to them;
Leaves may fall from them.

They don’t eat any food;
Cause they don’t appear with mouths,
But they have to eat.

Their food is water.
Careful, they may always drown,
At any point in time.

Let them have freedom;
They need to grow and advance,
To mature livings.

They need to be here.
They must help us through our times,
Even though hard and easy.

They live in brownness.
Mostly they grow together.
They live inside the earth.

They can’t fly nor slither.
They do move, but have no legs.
Humans help them live.

Stems they always have.
They don’t ride, but have pedals.
They are indeed plants.

White Rain Trouble
Trouble is brewing.
All things falling from above.
It’s cold but lovely.

It’s late in the year.
The sun is covered by clouds,
Wind and fall take over.

The tree’s are baring;
Flowers and plants are dying;
Coats and gloves come out.

Days now seem shorter;
It is getting dark earlier.
Darkness is all around.

Winter is upon;
Cold and wind are everywhere.
Most things are frigid.

Frost covers the ground;
White rain keeps sliding nether,
It’s mostly settle.

Till lots fall at once,
Completely different things,
You can’t see the ground.

Wind wallops up more;
Five inches of fluff cover the ground.
There is only white.

Hot chocolate lovers come;
Marshmallows will fill their cups.
Piping steam rises up.

It was lots of snow,
Even a small blizzard happened,
In the wind and cold.

Now go make snowmen;
Go enjoy the white soft fluff,
While it lasts this frost.

The Ultimate Tale of Action, Comedy, and Drama

The Ultimate tale of Action, Comedy, and Drama
I was born on the night of December eighth, 2000. I was born while a raging blizzard was blowing it’s way through. I weighed eight and a half pounds at birth setting me at the biggest baby of my mom and dad’s kids. Needless to say most of the weight was my gigantic head, which I didn’t grow into until two years ago, and even then it still looked huge.
Obviously I don’t remember much about my early years other than my relatives saying I was heavy, and kind of stressful to carry. Surprisingly, I cried very rarely. Well, not when boots are thrown at my face, or maybe when I got dropped upside down in a Walmart parking lot. You may be wondering how the boot thing happened. Well, my mom was in the doctor’s office and left me on the bench with my fighting sisters. At one point Lisa got so angry she took of her boot and chucked it at Helen, who dodged it, and hit me right in my baby face.
When I was four I was a little thug. You may be asking how can a four year old be that awesome, are you forgetting this PPOW is about me already? That’s a little sad, but anyway at my aunt’s wedding I was picking up chicks like no other. There is a picture of me holding another girl’s hand and me smiling like I know something you don’t. Needless to say I truly was AWESOME at a young age.
By this time you should have tears in your eyes, unless you're some kind of humorless, dull robot. Anyways, when I was four, I also did something so stupid that when I think about it I cringe. When Derek and I were at our babysitter’s house we liked to jump off this little freezer in the toy room thinking we were so awesome. Eventually the babysitter told us to stop, but I was 4 and didn’t listen to rules. Derek and I went back to our routine of jumping off it until that one fateful day.
That day we were jumping like usual until I tripped before jumping, and somehow broke my arm from a two foot fall. I ran upstairs, and showed the babysitter my career ending injury. She asked how this happened, and I thought I wouldn’t get in trouble if I lied. I told her that Derek pushed me, with my best poker face on. Needless to say Derek got a good spanking, and she still thinks he did it to this day.
Pre-school was easy during this time because the teacher wrote my answers down for me. I smiled while telling answers thinking that breaking my arm was genius.
Now that I have wasted almost half this PPOW talking about my early years let’s skip to when I was nine. This year everything went bad at once which almost broke me. In the beginning of the year of  2010 I got a girlfriend! I thought I was the most amazing thing since sliced bread. We were together for three months before one week brought me to my knees. That week on Tuesday my girlfriend broke my heart and left me. Then maybe two days later my parents told me they were getting a divorce.
For two weeks I didn’t talk too much. My mind was stuck in the great depression. Not to mention someone made fun of my parents getting split up. I almost went feral on that person, but I kept my cool. That year I also got my first and only referral. (Unbelievable, right?) By this time I was doubting my existence mattered. But, my friends helped me through this rough patch, and I eventually felt better.
The next year my dog Mickey died from swallowing something in the bathroom. I didn’t cry when she was buried but cried very soon after.
Let’s get off this sad part before one of you start balling, and ruin my story. By this time in my life my intelligence greatly increased, and my reading level was good enough to understand college textbooks.
Let’s talk about one of the most stupid people I’ve ever known and hated. If you were in my class in sixth grade you know who this person is. If you weren’t I feel sorry for you. This is a story about someone named Sean.
When I was 10 or 11 my mom started dating a dude named Lance. He had a son named Sean. I met him in the beginning of summer. At first he was cool, then his idiocy started to surface. Him and I were in the living room, and I shot a nerf gun at a light above us. Sean saw this and to get this down he grabbed the heaviest dog toy next to him and smacked the light. Good news; the nerf dart was off the light. Bad news; The light was off the ceiling.
Another time was at a July fourth party. We went to Lance’s friend’s party for the fourth. First thing we did was we went inside and ate. Boys at another table were making fart noises until some tall girl came in and told them to stop. Then I hear another fart noise, but the boys at the table didn’t do it. I look at Sean across the table and he has a huge smile on his face as if he did the most funny thing ever in the history of comedy.
Then it was time to set off fireworks, Sean set off like 20 fireworks that night. I set off five before my mom told me to stop. By the end of the night I became a little rebel and lit off a big one. We went home later, and I told them I lit off a big one thinking I was such a stud. Sean had this look on his face like diarrhea just struck. He pipes up asking if he can light off almost all the fireworks since I lit off the big one. I was about to scream telling him he is an ignorant cave man until my mom said, “Yes.”
That night Sean set off almost all of them giggling like a giddy little kid on christmas eager to open his presents. I sat there with a disapproving face giving him a death stare good enough to make even the toughest guy around cower in terror.
That was only a couple of highlights from Sean’s constant stupid actions. If you want more just ask me sometime.
Well, this went quickly didn’t it? This is getting long so I will continue it in another PPOW. Shhh it’s okay I know it sucks, but I will continue it later.

January PPOW

The Secret

I ran as fast as my legs would allow. It was the first day of track practice and coach told us that we would be racing to see who would get to run the 4x2 race. That was my race. I needed to win. I have always been the fastest one in the class, but I got hurt at the end of last year am still working on getting back.
Stacey and I were neck and neck. I used to be able to beat her no problem, but since I hurt my leg last year I can’t run as fast as I used to, at least not yet. I wanted to win so badly, show everyone, and coach that I still have what it takes. Stacey knew how much this race meant to me, but its not like she cared any. Stacey has always hated me, and to be honest I really don’t like her all that much.
Stacey doesn’t even like to run sprints. She only wanted to win so I wouldn't. I was ahead and there was only a couple of yards left, I thought I had won, thats when my leg gave out. I got back up quickly, but not quick enough. Stacey ran past me and won the race.
“Guess you don’t have what it takes anymore Blair” says Stacey with a huge grin on her face.
“I have what it takes you just got lucky this time” I tell Stacey, as I feel my face getting red from anger.
“ Please, I could beat you any day, and don’t keep blaming it on your leg.”
She walks toward coach to talk about the race, and leaves me sitting on the bench feeling sorry for my self. For a second I think about if she’s right or not. Maybe it’s me and not my leg, but I quickly let that thought go because it is the leg, if I could run like I use to then I would. I changed back into my normal shoes and walked to my car.
I sat in the car for a long time before I started it. Why did Stacey have to ruin my life. It wasn't just in track practice. She always went out of her way to make my life suck. I told my mom about what happened when I got home.
She was mad of course, but when I brought up that it was Stacey that beat me she quickly changed the subject. I don’t understand why she always does it. Whenever I bring up Stacey, Mom will start talking about something else. I find it super weird, but then again who would want to talk about Stacey.
“Why do you always do that” I asked my mom when she changes the subject.
“Do what?” she asked. I could tell that she knew what I was talking about, but I asked again.
“Everytime I talk about Stacey you talk about something else.” I say, but I know she won’t give me a real answer.
“I don’t know what you mean” Mom says as she walks out the door to work. I push away any thoughts about Stacey. I sit at the window and watch Mom leave for work. She has two jobs. My dad left when I was really little so she has to work extra hard to keep us going.
I head to my room to do leg workouts. Ever since I hurt my leg I have been working super hard to get it back to how it used to be. My doctor said that it’s doing way better then he would of thought, but thats because I have been doing twice the work he told me to do. I don’t my leg to just be pretty good, I want it to be just like it was before I hurt it in the last race of last season.
At school the next day all Stacey talks about is how she is the fastest one on the team and how she beat me in practice the other night.
“Goodmorning class” my science teacher says in a bubbly voice.
“Today we will be getting into groups for our projects” she says with a smile on her face. Everybody in the room gets up to find a partner.
“Not so fast class.” Everyone in the room stops and looks at her.
“I will be picking your partners.” Everyone groans. Whenever she picks partner she puts you with the person you hate most. She thinks that it will bring us all closer together, but most of the groups just end up trying to kill each other. This makes me really mad because I already know who she is going to put me with.
I’m with Stacey everytime. It never works out we hate each other way to much.
“Well this will be fun.” Stacey says as she rolls her eye at me.
“It always is” I say as I sit down by her.
“Are you going to practice tonight” she says and I know where the question is going.
“Yeah, Why wouldn't I” I say.
“I just figured you would be to scared to get beat again.” Stacey says with her sly grin. The bell rings and everybody runs out of the room. This project is going to suck. Not only do I have to deal with Stacey at school and at practice, now she has to come over to my house to work on the project. I’m never going to get a break from her nasty personality.
Practice sucked, not only did Stacey take my event, coach asked if I was even ready to run, and if I should sit out for another season. I worked way too hard to sit out again.
“Ready to go?” Stacey says walking up to me after practice.
“I don’t know if I want you in my house” I say, even though I know, I don’t want her any where near my house.
“Mom, i’m home!” I yell into the living room, where I hear her watching t.v.
“Hey honey how was your--” Mom stops in the middle of her sentence, when she turns around. She is looking at Stacey like somebody just punched her in the face. I mean thats how I feel most of the time when I look at Stacey, but my mom had no reason to have that look on her face.
“Umm hi” Stacey says, but I can tell she feels weird about how my mom is looking at her.
“Mom, are you okay?” I was started to get worried when she didn’t move from her spot.
“Honey, can I talk to you in the kitchen for a minute?” Mom asked, finally looking normal again.
“Sure” I ask walking toward the door. “ You can just wait in here” I say to Stacey as I follow my mom out of the room.
“I should of told you this along time ago” Mom says as she looks at the floor. I feel my stomach flip, I could tell by the way she was acting, that what she was about to say would not be good news.
“When your dad left-” Mom starts her story. “We decided it would work best just to split everything we have and go our separate ways”
“Mom what are you talking about” I say and I feel my heart start to beat faster in my chest.
“You have a sister honey” she says, and I know where this is going, but I don’t want to believe it. “I kept you and your father took you sister” she keeps going.
“Don’t say it” I yelled as my head starts to pound.
“Stacey is your sister, Blair”
