The Life of the Beautiful Zac Efron

Zachary David Alexander Efron was born on October 18, 1987.  Zac Efron is from San Luis Obispo, California. Zac is known for his gorgeous looks, beautiful brown hair and blue eyes. He has a brother named Dylan. When Zac was little, he was made fun of having a big gap in-between his teeth. Zac had a pretty normal childhood; rose by both of his parents and grew up in his hometown. He was a straight “A” type of student; he didn’t like when he got a “B.”  In high school, he participated in a lot of musicals and plays.

In 1994, Zac made a small appearance in “ER.” Zac started to do lots of work in the 2000’s. In 2000, he appeared in “Peter Pan” and “Auntie Mame.” Zac played a small role in CSI Miami in 2002. In 2004, he joined the cast of “Summerland” for a couple of seasons.

 He also became a teen idol after his leading role in “High School Musical.” Zac played the basketball star named Troy Bolton and his best friend in the movie was Chad. Together they went through multiple games and musicals. Shortly after High School Musical was aired, two songs from the movie named “Get’cha head in the game” and “Breaking Free” were topping the Billboard charts. After the first movie, teen girls were falling head over heals for “Troy Bolton” his character in the movie series.

            In 2007, Zac Efron starred in Vanessa Hudgens music video “Say OK.” The video aired on March 27, 2007. Later that year, Zac was on the list of 100 most beautiful people. That year, Zac participated in the movie “Hairspray.” He starred as Link Larkin, for that role he had to cut, dye his hair, and gain 15 pounds. The movie received great reviews.

“High School Musical 2” aired in August 2007. After that, Zac fell in love with his co-star Vanessa Hudgens. They dated for a long time but broke up after the series of movies ended. The film set a new record, becoming the most watched basic cable program in all history of the U.S.  That year Zac also appeared on the cover of Rolling Stones Magazine. Zac was on Forbes list of celebrities with earnings of five million in just one year.

 “High school Musical 3” debuted in October 2009 and was a hit at the box office. In early 2009, he starred in a funny film called “17 Again.”  That movie was about an adult who is turned into a teenager.  On April 11, 2009 Zac hosted “Saturday Night Live.”  After appearing on SNL, he took on a leading role in “Charlie St. Cloud.” Efron was second on The Most Beautiful People List in 2011.  In 2011, he played a short role in “New Years Eve.”

            It was now 2012, and Zac voiced Teg Wiggins on the book-based movie “The Lorax.” Zac was lucky enough to work with some great stars like Taylor Swift and Ed Helms. The movie was a raging success and he was proud to be apart of it. The other movie he stared in that year was “The Lucky One.” Zac played a U.S Marine Sgt. who returns from his third tour of duty and was inspired to find the woman in an old photograph of his.

            Zac checked himself into rehab in 2013 for alcoholism and substance abuse. He has gotten the treatment he needed and is now healthy. Zac has been sober since June 2013.  In 2014, Zac starred in a romantic comedy “That Awkward Moment.” It didn’t get very great reviews from the critics. Zac also had a huge role in the hilarious comedy called “Neighbors.”

Zac Efron has been nominated for many awards like: Teen choice, People choice award, Mtv movie award, and many more. He did end up winning an Mtv movie award for Hairspray in 2007. The award was for best break through performance.

Zac’s acting idol is Jonny Depp. He looks up to Leonardo DiCaprio, one of his best friends. Simon Cowell offered him a record deal but he turned him down. He said he would rather stick to acting. Zac’s favorite movies are “Die Hard” and “Dumb and Dumber.”

He is a proud owner of two Australian Shepherds and a Siamese cat. Zac loves animals and would own tons more if he could. His dog’s names are Dreamer and Puppy and his cat’s name is Simon. His favorite animals are lions and tigers, and one day he hopes to pet both of them.

Zac has had a great career and plans to do more work, he is now 27 and very happy to what his success has came to. He has two more movies coming up this year and is excited for them to release. Zac has made a big impression in this big world and nobody could ever forget him. He has a big fan base and he hopes that never changes. Zac has made tons money over the past 15 years of his big career. His parents are so proud of his success.
